Will Trade VW Bus for Teardrop

Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum and to teardrops in general. I've been reading about them a lot lately and have decided to see if anyone on here would be interested in trading a small, light teardrop trailer for my 1977 VW Bus. I've had the bus for a few years and have had it on the road ever since I bought it. I was hoping to continue fixing it up and using it for camping trips but I just don't have the time or money. I'm hoping to trade if for a small light weight teardrop trailer that I can pull with my other car.

The van is in solid condition. It has had lots of work done on it and has been used regularly in the summers since I bought it. It does need some more work done on it (exhaust, new tires, rear interior, window seals) but the body is in solid shape, the engine and transmission have been retooled, the brakes have been replaced, lights were rewired, new matching locks installed... just needs finishing touches to get it ready for more use than I can give it.

If you have a teardrop you would be interested in trading for my bus leave a post with some information about your trailer and some photos and I can respond with more info and photos of my bus. I'm not really a 'car guy' so I don't know too many intricate details about the van itself, but I can do my best to answer any questions you may have.

* I live in Ontario, Canada and the vehicle is registered here *

Where abouts in Ontario are you? Anything specific in a teardrop you are looking for?

Sandy

Hey,

I'm in Kingston, Ontario.

I'm hoping for a light weight trailer that's close to a queen sized bed... doesn't need a sink in the kitchen or anything fancy like that... Did you want to send me a message with a couple pictures of the trailer you have and a few details about it? The main issue is weight for us as we have a small hybrid so pulling a heavier trailer could be a problem with our car.

We've been bitten by the road trip bug and after a 2.5 month trip sleeping in tents the whole time we have been thinking about getting a teardrop. We love the idea of a hard-topped roof to keep us dry but don't want to feel cutoff from nature like you do inside a big trailer hence our interest in teardrops.

The van is in solid shape... it needs some work done on it still but I just don't have the time / money / knowledge to get everything done unless I take the next few years to do so.

Thanks,
Andy
