My wife and I have traveled and slept in the back of our Ram truck for years thanks to the awesome ARE cap we have. The rear walk-thru door is the biggest feature and it makes going in and out super easy as you don't have to climb up and over a tailgate. The glass door is part of a larger fiberglass hinged door that pivots at the top so that large items can easily be loaded or unloaded. The shell is composed of two layers of fiberglass with insulation between them. The shell overall is 3/4 of an inch thick. It includes additional factory options such as hinged side windows that tilt all the way up for additional ventilation. They also have conventional sliding glass windows with screens in the assembly. It has a sliding glass window at the front and a 12V interior light. It also has the factory carpeting through out.

To make this great shell even better for camping, I have installed a powered 12V Fantastic Fan in the roof and fitted screens on both sides and front as well as black out curtains all around. We sleep comfortably in the back under a down comforter down to temps in the low 40s and then below that we get into the double sleeping bag. Although the asking price may seem high by conventional cap standards, this is more than $800 below what it would cost today. It is secured by four screw clamps which are included.

We would be willing to travel a reasonable distance (we love road trips) if you want to purchase it. It is made to fit any Ram 1500 truck with the 6'4" bed. It is color matched with the paint code for the Ram "Bright Silver" color. It fits all year models from 2010 thru 2016.

I just purchased an A.R.E. Cap for my F150 with two of the options you have, the side opening windows and the front drop down one. To any prespective buyer I will say that I consider the A.R.E. Caps to be premium and these two window options very essential for a camping truck. Good luck with you sale. You inspire me to put my A.R.E. Tonneaumcover on this site.

I can't believe what a great value the ARE cap has been. It's held up beautifully and there isn't a scratch on it. I was reluctant to spend $2,600 on it initially but it's paid for itself many times over. Nothing like having a convenient place to take a nap stretched full out when you get tired of driving
