Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

So, just getting a feel for this.
We are moving from San Diego to Bishop. Don't have a lot to move but more than a Moving Van plus all the hassles of that.
Checked into UHaul trailers and one way with a close by drop off is going to run about $120 but can only have for 4 days and my old bones will probably need 5 days and will be 4 trips or so.
So we had a thought, if someone was starting a conversion and needed some cash... I'd rather pay someone $500 for a month and not be limited if I needed to rest for a day.
I need to check with my insurance to see how this would work - "to borrow" a trailer.

Has anyone done this before, is it a good idea, anyone interested in doing something like this?

Add: I can buy a brake controller if needed, want one for a someday thing anyway, have a tow package

i'd consider looking on CraigsList for a used 6x12

in the DFW area they can be had in the $1500 - $1800 range and if not damaged during the prcess you'd most likely end up getting all your money back when you sell it in a month or so

Interesting, replied to see if they have the fenders, I think it is a requirement. A good cleaning and it might be a quick resell when we are done.

Is this worth the turn around? If I sold it for $1000 then it is worth it to me. Maybe $1200 if I delivered it to a western state? Not sure if this is a good one for a CTC for someone else.
