Must sees in eastern Ontario

Postby CalJanKoz » Fri Aug 11, 2017 7:20 am

Hey we're from Sudbury, and looking for places that are recommended to see in eastern Ontario, we've gone around our area quite a bit (our teardrop isn't done yet but a good ol' tent does the trick)

We love to hike on our trips and it'd be best if the area were dog friendly.

Thanks

Frontenac Provincial Park is lovely. They have hike-in and paddle-in sites, but I'm not sure about car camping.
Another good place to stop is the Big Apple on the 401 near Colborne. It's a massive pie factory and gift shop with a petting zoo. They brew their own beer and have a BBQ smoker now too. Makes a nice lunch spot.
We went to Mont Tremblant National Park in Quebec this June and loved it. Only 2 hours from Ottawa.
