"Roughing It" at Disneyland

I have always stayed at a hotel when going to Disneyland, but after looking at the Anaheim Resort I am seriously thinking about planning a trip withy new tear. The only thing I do at the hotel is sleep and sit in the pool (well maybe not the only thing), but for $280 a week I can get that at the resort, and showers. Does anyone have any experience "roughing it" at Disneyland?

don't know about Disneyland, but I have heard great things about Ft Wildereness in Disney world, so, knowing the company, it has to be good.
