We use the nylon camp bags that you can buy at Walmart, Target, or anyplace with camping gear. Usually your shoes are wet and/or dirty so the bags are ideal for storage at night. When you get home, you just turn them inside out and shake out the dirt and store back in the camper. We started out hanging them on cup hooks on the side walls but after our first camping trip, we found that we had room (and need) for a full width 12" shelf about 5" below the cabinets. We can now hang the bags on the cup hooks or place them on the shelf with other stuff for night time storage.

I used my unused fenders mounted to the frame.

Never liked shoes in the tent and didn't like dew/rain soaked shoes either. This solved it for me.

I don't think this is what you're looking for, but we store our shoes in our side tent.

Plastic shoe storage boxes, with lids, are available and can be set at the end of the bed or on a shelf....easy to wash out and don't allow dirty shoes to spill onto other things. They are available at most big box stores.
