Best Canned Ham for a Tall Person??

Postby SuperShady1 » Mon Jul 29, 2013 7:18 pm

Does anyone have any experience with being tall and owning a vintage canned ham?

I am almost 6' 6" and was wondering if there is a layout that can accommodate us tall people both headroom and length wise on the main bed?

We have a a nice teardrop, but was thinking out loud about a canned ham that is not to long....

Thanks in advance!!

I would imagine that you'd be out of luck. Even in new trailers, 6'6" would be hard to accommodate. I say build to suit your height.

I am (or was) 6'4". My teardrop had a queen sized bed in it and was fine. My 1960 Kenskill does not fit quite as well. The bed goes across the back and is barely long enough with out bending my knees. Most of the vintage trailers are the same width. You will have the same problem unless you find one with beds running along the side instead of across the back. I believe I have seen some but do not recall any specific brands. The "canned ham" look went away by 1960, you are more likely to find one that fits if it is not that old. Another issue will be interior height. I stand with my head in the ceiling vent area if I am fully erect, otherwise I have a slight stoop or am sitting down. Good Luck
