Anyone seen this stuff on YouTube? Would make a good waterproof coating for a td!

I've been thinking the same thing...I just wander how it will keep over time. Hard to say if it'll last the long haul when exposed to UV, other chemicals found on the road, etc,etc... Also, as of yet it isn't "clear" goes on kind of hazy.... once they make it clear though, you might never need windshield wipers on the T.V. again! Let alone the water proofing possibilities for TD's. The possibilities are pretty exciting!

I was in HD today and looked at a Never Wet "kit" while in line. No instructions on the box at all, other than spray on. Why the two cans?

It did mention reapplying when needed.

It's a two part process. Base coat and top coat. I haven't yet used any, just done a little research online.

Video on the HD site leaves one to think they have watched a doctored TV infomercial IMO. (some fancy camera shots)
It will be interesting to hear from anyone who has tried it. Demonstration made it out to be quite the product.

There are a few real videos on ebay, most positive. There is one quite Negative one, but it looks like he didn't apply it properly

Its early days yet but as with any product, it may get better

My biggest reservation is that it dries hazy.

I read a review...It appears to not be UV tolerant and may crack and flake after exposed. To what level and after how long? Who knows.

I just bought it for water proofing some things around the house. You spray the base coat, let it dry for 30 minutes, then spray on the top coat. The top coat goes on light and the instructions (inside the box) suggest 2-3 light coats may work better than one heavy one.

The stuff is amazing though! The water doesn't just run off, it nearly JUMPS off!

It does dry to a hazy, frosted color and, to be honest, has the weirdest feel to it. But man, if it is durable, it is like nothing I ever saw before.

At $20 for the kit, Never Wet seems like it could be a bit expensive. There is a very similar product by a different manufacturer called Ever Dry (I kid you not!) that looks like it would come more in bulk sizes. Turns out the aerosol can application method isn't necessary. A spray bottle works just as well.

Once it is on though. That is your color. Paint, gel coat, whatever, nothing will stick to this stuff!

Sprayed it on a brand new pair of white sneakers. Within a couple days, it was starting to rub off
