SignaTour Campers

Postby trailtrekerNJ » Wed Sep 18, 2013 6:19 pm

Been away from the Teardrop scene/camping for a while. Looking to get back to traveling.
Any one have experience with / knowledge of products from SignaTour Campers? Company builds/sells in Tampa, FL area - a bit far from NJ.
Looking at the Biscayne model, a little bit bigger than the Lil Guy I used to have.
Just worried about distance if problems with TD occurred.
Thanks.

I am not familiar with the brand, but I see you are from Old Bridge. Are you a race fan by any chance?

Well, this is timely. Retirement on Sept 30 and am starting to think about plans and this is the EXACT profile and layout that I envisioned, right down to the doors, windows, the water/gas can on the side AND (especially) the RV cargo hatch door on the back!

The hatch door on the back seemed like a great idea, until I priced an RV cargo door that size on the internet yesterday, using a link from the prefab doors thread - over $400 for 48" x 32" with trim!
Talk about sticker shock.
Seems like a good item to find salvaged.

That does look like a well-built teardrop. Heading to their Web site now!

No, not a race fan even though I live near English Town Raceway.
Yes the features of the SignTour nice.
The AC was included and the roof rack makes a good tie down point for an awning or tent.
The two extra windows are a great feature as compared to the Little Guy TD I had. I put my elbows through the screens in the Little Guy door screens while sleeping and would worry about TTDawg tearing or jumping thru when I went to use the campground facilities. I always wondered why Little Guy did'nt put the screen opening at the top.
Not thrilled about the "Galley Access" at the back, we do not cook when traveling, and this would just be a break in point for a thief. Guess if I dealt with the builder direct I just would not include this feature.
Working slowly towards the dream. Hope to be soon back on the road and meeting up with some of you folks.
