exterior decal wrap suggestions

Postby 2KIRKS » Mon May 17, 2010 8:51 pm

i'm trying to come up with some ideas for the exterior of my trailer. i've already pre-paid a local sign shop for the wrap, but i can't come up with any good ideas.

any ideas and/or suggestions???

i think i'm leaning towards something "travel" related. i've thought about making the rear hatch door look like an interstate exit sign, but i can't think of what to do with the sides and top.

here's my trailer - little guy 5 wide...

Morning 2Kirks,

What are your interests ?

Motorsport, gardening, animals, boats, trains.... ?

Think of your hobies, passions and then look in that arena.

When I wanted to do the colours/kolors for the bus (and trailer later) I looked at motorsport, my vavourite livery has to be the "Gulf Oil Racing" logo, but it had already been done to deat, so I started Googling Images of oil company liveries, and found Sinclair Oil Corporation, after a phone call from England to Salt Lake City and their legal department, I had permission to use it, as long as it was not for comercial gain.

This is what I am planning with the trailer, or a variation of it.

Hope that helps.
Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.

If you would like a photo style wrap fotolia.com sells hi resolution photos very reasonable.they can be enlarged to 4'x8' with no issues by your sign shop.just a thought....

Here is a vinyl sign web site that I've used for lettering but they do other graphics as well.

i think i'm gonna have the trailer painted and then add a few smaller graphics and/or stripes.

i was planning on doing a complete wrap like the 66 trailer, but i wasn't able to think of any ideas that i liked.

How about a 3-D scene of what the galley looks like...sort of what you see on the back of a U-haul as it has the illusion of the interior. Or a 3D picture of your heads from the back of your car, almost as if I were behind you it would feel like I was looking through the camper!

You could have a Google Earth map of your hometown blown up and printed on the wrap with a "We Were Here" red drop-pin marking it.

Or do the same with the place you'd like to be at most, your favorite place, and a "Wish We Were Here" red drop-pin.

I like the tree scene above your Little Guy and Element. That would look nice on the hatch.

I hope to some day wrap mine in a road map, Minnesota on the hatch and see if I just repeat it all around or do a world map.
