organized build

The one thing I am doing different about my new build is when I use a tool (pencil, hammer, drill, sander, roller, saber saw, etc) as I finish each step, I put the tool back in it's place. In that way I will know where to find it again.

As you know there is nothing worse then having the glue setting while you try and find a clamp. Or measure it out and the pencil was just here!

I even put the saber back in it's box and put it ban where it is stored.

As I finish a step I put it back for the next use.

Also think about your health, yes your health. I have several times had sticks, poles and pipes stick out where I could get whapppppppped. I had a pipe clamp with a black hat hanging from it so I would see it. I was in a hurry today and turned the corner not looking forward nor up and wham...... I missed my eye and just missed my glasses. Ouch I stopped and went to find some Ice. :? I took the clamp down right after that. I knew better but just have not learned!!

When I built the box kite I made the hatch to open a hair to low. I have found myself on my back several times until I learned to hang things from it so I would remember to duck.

You tools and your work bench do not need to be organized .... just put things back where they came from and you will not loose a day trying to find that tool that later that night you found near the TV when you answered the phone call earlier that day. Put it down, and when you come back if you are done with it put it back and you will find Grumpy you are not.
