I don't think I'd ever put one in a camping trailer of mine, but the concept is interesting...

Space-saving and efficient packaging are perfect for the gourmands in TD's out there, energy use isn't shown, but it can't be too high. My cooking at camp demands won't be too high, so I won't need this device; I was a bachelor for many years, and a good meal can be had with a can opener, a can of SPAM, and a fork. Come to think of it, since it has a pull tab, only the can of SPAM is necessary. I came pre-packaged with fingers.

By the time you pack the attachments, the only space savings is not having the base for the blender.

More gadget than anything, IMHO.

It is an interesting concept. The base unit could be priced real low like ink jet printers just to get you hooked and then buying the profitable accessories.

The opinions in this post are my own. My comments are directed to those that might like an alternative approach to those already espoused. There is the right way,the wrong way,the USMC way, your way, my way, and the highway.

A meal perhaps, but "a good meal" I think not.

SPAM was a staple of our household when I was a child. Didn't like it then, don't like it now.

I oversimplified the concept. I still like spinach straight from the can as well (too many Popeye cartoons in my past). And, by using stuff straight from the can, I can be assured that my wife hasn't added any MSG to poison me (she just can't -or won't- read the labels to spare me the pain).

This post popped into mind a few days ago. For people living in tiny apartments or even a single room with a hot plate, anyplace where space is at an absolute premium, this starts to makes a LOT more sense. In places where real estate is more expensive than we can even imagine (NYC, Tokyo, Singapore, San Francisco, even Seattle, for example) there is a trend toward microapartments -- say around 250 sq ft. This widget might even be practical in that context.

I am not a fan of multipurpose anythings, e.g. I have a printer and a separate scanner. If you will notice with Compass Rose perennials are separate and what we will not need on a particular trip stays home (except for all the tools) e.g. the AC can be left home and if the camp ground has showers the shower tent gets left home.
