I started out with a "salvaged" Little Guy, 4 wide and customized it to suit MY needs. I gutted it and removed everstuff and installed a small shelf/storage unit at the head so I could put me wallet, cellphone, gun.. whatever.. on it and the rest was wide open with nary a cabinet or galley. Then I had my friend,Roly ( ya mighta heard of him ) installa galley and another shelf inside. It was finally a REAL teardrop WITH a galley and storage in the cabin. I jus LOVED that teardrop !! But another trailer caught my eye and I HADTA have it !
I had the "bright" idea to buy a German trailer to tow behind my German car ( VW BUG ). It was an Eriba,Puck. A stand up trailer, 6x10. The dang thang only weighed in at 620lbs ! Towed like a DREAM and was very comfortable to sleep in. Bein a "teardropper" at heart, I wasn't keen on cookin INSIDE and was always outside. The Puck had a full kitchen, stove, sink, ice box,and a closet and PLENTY of storage...but...I always hadta take everstuff OUTTA the trailer to cook ! Hadta reconstruct the bed ever mornin and deconstruct it when I traveled ! What a PITA !! So I decided to sell it and go back to a teardrop !
Now I'm back to teardroppin AGAIN and I couldn't be any happier ! My good friend ,Roly had this teeny tiny trailer fer sale and it had ME written all over it !! His "Shrunk Bunk" has become MY "Squeeze Box" ! What a FUN trailer ! Of course, I hadta make it mine and change a few little thangs, like the name...I added a couple a shelves to the cabin as well as a couple a closet rods so I could "hang" me clothes up. I think ole Roly would be happy with the modifications I've done.
Can't wait fer Lake Perris and the Teardrops ONLY campout in March ! Roly is sposed to have sum super secret new trailer at Perris...NOBODY wants to MISS that !
