Overall a great article and good exposure for teardrops. Some of the comments didn't sit well with me, so I felt compelled to answer with my own comments...
I see so much misunderstanding in the comments about this article that I felt compelled to comment. Teardrops are used for camping, but they are a completely different animal than a large RV or even a tent. It is like comparing a truck to a car to a bicycle. All of them will go down the road, but they each have different capabilities. A teardrop appeals to me because they are easy to handle and tow, it fits inside my garage, has more comforts than a tent, and they go places that large RVs wouldn't dream of going for size or condition of road or size of campsite. My family and I built our own customized teardrop. That fun learning experience and family interaction in building one is worthy of a book all in itself! Now we camp with the teardrop and the fun continues. If you have a large RV, I hope it is paid off and you get out to enjoy it often. Just make sure you take at least a peek out the window once in a while while you are camping. If you use a tent, I envy your mobility, but not your setup time and I hope you get a good nights sleep on the ground. I have a teardrop with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and a six inch thick queen size foam bed, and I know it is the best for me!
