My Tear is nearly done

Postby Jdhiker » Thu Aug 28, 2014 8:27 am

I'm about 85 % done and will take it on the maiden voyage this weekend. Event though the Galley cabinet doors aren't on not is the interior cabinet done. But she is road ready. !!

The coke cooler in front still needs the coca cola highlighted in white. It holds a group 27 deep cycle and a solar controller for my portable panels from HF

The tear weighed in at 820 lbs so far. I got wiggle room for filling it with gear and towing with the CRV

Very nice looking! Congrats! We threw a panel up and called it a galley wall for our first trip. These are made to travel wth, not store and observe. Have fun! Is the Coke box repro, restored? The only box, that style, I have been able to find reasonable ($) was an off brand beer. Coyote

Its an old original coke Cooler, I have had it 25+ years... always wanted to use it for something.... so why not the battery box ! now it;s better there than in the barn in the corner collecting dust ha ha

best thing is I ALWAYS know where my bottle opener is during camping.... the original is still mounted on the side of it !!

It looks like you did a good job on your TD. I like the painted design.
Now, it's time to get out and use that trailer and have lots of camping fun! :vroom:
