Big and little

Postby prohandyman » Sun Aug 31, 2014 5:09 pm

Thought you all might get a kick out of this pic. We camped on my nephew's property this weekend, as he and our son's hosted a private "Brewfest" for craft beer sampling. My son uses a rather large bumper tow white box to "camp" in and I snapped a pic, albeit a bad pic, of my camper dwarfed by his. It looked like a better pic on the phone but it's kind of hard to visualize the size difference. I give him grief pretty often and trying to get him to downsize but his wife likes her "home on wheels".

One of the drawbacks that many new RV buyers don't take into consideration is that many of the National Park and forest service campgrounds can't fit the mega-rigs in. And that's fine, as they typically want the hook-ups of an RV type park anyway...keeps them out of the woods. Doug

most of the owners of those big rigs never get out and enjoy the real life of camping like cooking outside taking hicks out in the woods or along a creek most of the people I know with little trailers still enjoy the real camping life

I was teardroppin one time when a gifundemous motorhome pulled in next to me. I heard the automatic self levelers activate, the slide out motor push the slide outs(plurl) into position, the satelite dish unfold. Then he came out to hook up the water and sewer, rolled out his astro turf, set up his chairs, activate his motorized awning... then I never saw him again ! It was baseball season after all...
