Are there any 12 or 14 foot teardrops??

I just finished a version of the diner. It is 5 wide, 54" inside and 12 long. I found 5x12 aluminum, which dictated the size. I haven't weighed it yet, but it is stick built on a custom 2x2 frame. I am guessing somewhere around 800 lbs. the minivan tows it like nothing is behind. You can see the build pics in my gallery.

Well that thing is just plain cool, what is the weight on that rather large unit

It tips the scales at 1650 lbs with the battery, mattress, bedding, and stocked galley. I have a little trim and finish work to do (maybe a tongue box) that should add up to less than 100 additional lbs. Foamie it ain't but it's lighter than I hoped for. I originally was aiming for less than 1500 lbs but that went out the window as I kept adding stuff.

My next one will be a budget build foamie... light for towing so my kids can pull it with a small car and budget to please the wife
