That unit is a 'one hose' portable A/C. The bad thing about them is they exhaust the hot waste air through the hose to the outside. That air needs to be replaced by having leaky construction or a window cracked. So hot ait enters.

The best portable units have 2 hoses, an intake and an exhaust. That prevents the introduction of hot air to the interior.

I have not tried one of these in a TD or small trailer myself. I have used a 2 hose portable in a small cabin (16x30) and it worked fine there. Many reports of unhappiness with the performance of a portable A/C can be found here on the tntt forum. That's why so many opt for the 5000 BTU window mount type.

I used a similar type unit in my cricket. Bulky, noisy and you need to insulate the exhaust hose. Also need to collect the condensate.

It will work with all the same "ifs, ands and buts" that apply to any method of cooling that depends on the evaporation of water. Only the packaging is different.

Any time you see the words "evaporative cooler" you have the same "swamp cooler" that works well only low humidity situations.
