A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

I have used that hinge 3 times. It works well, but I have had a few leaks . They say it can't leak but it can. The best part is one guy can easily remove the galley hatch alone. There are some small insets that lock the hinge in place. Be sure and over hang the hing 3/4'-1" beyond the side of the trailer to divert water away.

I used it on my build and love it - it is sturdy and clean. The previous poster is right on with his comments.

I've thought about using this hinge after seeing it this fall. Curious about the "leaks" and where they occur. Is it along the body of the hinge under wind & rain loads, on the ends if they are cut too short (like a hurricane hinge) or some other condition, like opening after a heavy rain? It's a nice looking hinge system from what I saw on Mike & Mo's teardrop, clean installation & nice finished look.

Mine were coming in through the hinge and dripping in. It looks like it goes up into the cap piece and between the 2 gears and down through the middle. It only leaks with big rain when the water washes over the hinge and only is about a 7-8" spot. When I knew we were going to have a storm I put a pan under the leak area to see how much water would come in. It was about 1/2 cup. Not huge but it makes a mess if you don't catch it. I have just bought a plastic hinge that I will mount in front of the hinge (on the trailer roof) and divert the water over the hinge. My other trailer with this hinge has never leaked and it is 7 years old. Go figure?
