Thank you all for the good wishes. Now to dive in to her and figure out what needs to be done first. That brings to mind, anybody know what model fantastic fan (re. roof thickness) I need to look for? Also low profile lid for the fan?

I installed a Fantastic Fan, it came with a trim piece that you cut down for whatever roof thickness you need. I got the 3 speed reversible one with thermostat. Note that with fiberglass campers you do not use silicone, use butyl tape under the fan to seal it. Not the plain putty tape, get the butyl. Proflex RV sealant is good stuff too

Congratulations on your new (to you) tiny trailer!

I've really started following the UHaul trailers for sale on Fiberglass-rv-4sale.com site in the last week or two.
The UHauls are of relatively recent origin (mid 1980s) and they look to be of a stouter build than some of the other older fiberglass RVs, likely because they were built for commercial use.

For example, I went to look at a Burro (it was not in good shape) and there were places where the exterior wall was so thin it was translucent, which was disconcerting!

The only UHaul for sale in Texas currently is listed for almost $7000, which seems steep, especially for a trailer with no bathroom. It is also a 3 or 4 hour drive away, so too far to check out on a whim.

What do you like about yours -- i.e., what do you consider the pluses and is it what you were looking for to begin with?

Do you know the weight or the UHaul?

Uhaul weight is generally accepted as being 1250 lb empty. Light will shine through them in spots, especially where it is not double wall. They are well built, but also most parts are no longer available and were unique to only the Uhauls. I suggest that you join the Uhaul Facebook group and look in the "files" section at the top of the page where you will find all kinds of info and a thread about common problems and issues. Info is also found on fiberglassrv forum but most Uhaul owners are now on the Facebook group.
