Mother-in-law gave me a down quilted throw for my 48in wide mattress in the new tear. She washed in and used a dryer sheet. Not bad in the house but in the tear so over powering. How do I get rid of the dryer sheet scent? Washed it once already. Thanks

I'll take a wild guess and say, add a cup of white vinegar to your wash water. Vinegar usually works on just about everything.

I'll second the white vinegar. I use it in both the washing machine and the dishwasher to remove unpleasant smells.

Maybe even hanging it outside in the sun on a nice day
would help.
