Friggin oil tankers, these guys running the patch could care less about anyones safety.
Blew by me on the snow covered lane, left me 100% blind, can't hit the brakes cause cars behind. then I felt her go through the bank and started going downhill, snow sliding across hood. I cut her in the direction I thought I needed to be pointed and came to rest. When the snow cloud subsided and I got my head about me I realized what had happened.
Caught my breath then forced my way out of the truck.
Snow up to the windowsills. But I was still upright as was the trailer. At least a 200 foot run or more down a low elevation center medium on a divided hiway.
Ford roadside assistance came through, took an hour and a half for winch truck to get there, was a tough pull in deplorable conditions. Those tow truck guys have balls of steel out there in conditions like that.
By the time they got there, I had dug out the sides and front of the truck and winching went good,
Ya'll can say your not building a tank, but i'm glad I did, she kept her feet planted, stayed straight as an arrow and came out without a scratch.
I know exactly what would have happened to a store bought trailer.....It would be spread over a mile.
Needless to say, got to the next town, wove my way through all the parked for the storm hiway tractors, found a out of the way parking spot and swallowed a couple quick beers and went to sleep.
Sorry no picks
