Boy Time Flys!

Postby Vedette » Mon Dec 01, 2014 12:21 pm

It was 3 years ago today!
I was searching the net for pictures of Teardrops made from cars....when I came across the TnTTT.
What a find! :applause:
As the old saying goes "A lot of water has crossed under the bridge since then".....well in our case, our Teardrop Miss Piggy has crossed a lot of water over "Many" bridges!
The information I found here was invaluable during our build. And we found "Gatherings" that we shared with the new friends we made here on the Forum, which lead to the making of more new friends. :)
I have enjoyed countless hours of researching the diverse array of ideas that the members of this Forum have shared with us. Read many wonderful camping stories, and found some wonderful areas of the country to explore at the suggestion of the TnTTT members.
For that, I would like to Thank You all! :applause:
But, now that we are fully hooked on the Teardrop Camping Lifestyle.......and I am hooked on the Forum. We have done something I never thought would happen.......We have started a "Second Build"
What started out as a simple need to move up off the ground while camping and to fulfill a life long wish to have one of those cool little Teardrop Trailers that used to show up at Rod Runs, has grown into a full time obsession with every aspect of Teardrop Camping.
Travelling with our Teardrops is "Everything and More" than I ever imagined.
I hope this little ramble on my 3rd Birthday helps to keep those of you that are in the middle of your first build, or those of you that are lurking here with dreams of building or owning a teardrop......
Inspired to reach your goal! ;) The rewards are more than worth it!
Thanks Again! :wine:

How do I thumbsup this? Guess I just did ;)
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

I bought my first teardrop in 2008...I'm now on trailer #4. I rebuilt the first trailer(a 2005 Little Guy ) and moved up to a "standie" ( I hated the standie)...then went back to a teardrop( Roly Nelsons "shrunk bunk" ) . Then I found my current teardrop...a 1946 homebuilt, aluminum teardrop that I am refurbishing. The "cabin" is now insulated and skinned with Red Oak paneling and I'm still workin on the gall

I too have traveled far with the trailers, met many new friends, and have had "adventures" galore ! Maybe my next "venture" will be an actual "build". I have voluminous sketches and plans that I have penned over the years....

It has been 3 and 1/2 years for us and it certainly has been a great improvement to our life. We get out a lot more now.
