Missing a step in the generic benroy plans

I've been going over the generic plans for a while now. I nearly have them memorized. One thing that stands out for me is the magic that happens between insulating between the roof spars and then applying paint to the exterior of the tear.

Something happened in the middle there. I'm confident that a roof was put on. I don't know how it was put on but I know that it was because paint is going on it.

So the roof is 1/8 baltic birch, that much I'm confident of. Was glue applied over each of the spars and sides and then the birch stapled onto the spars working from the bottom front up to the top? From the top down? Were screws used and if so where? How were the seams between the sheets sealed up?

I have tried the search function in the forums and have not found an answer to this.

If this is already answered in another thread please direct me there.

Finally found this video online in case anyone else tries to find this information. It is what I suspected, construction glue and a lot of staples.

That video missed one thing that makes it easier. Use ratchet tie straps over the camper to hold the plywood in place.

Ah, good find. Step 15, on page 52 was supposed to be about installing the outside skin, and finishing it. Somehow I missed the installing part!

But the video you found is awesome.

Started with the first one that came up when I hit play on the post.
Ended up watching for over an hour and a half. Great Stuff! Talented woodworker!
I have said it before and will say it again....."I am in awe of the woodworking skills that I have seen displayed here on the Forum. So many talented builders."
Although I work with metal, this video gave me more ideas and inspiration to get out there and start welding.
Maybe after the Greenbay /Dallas game?????

Thanks for putting together those plans! I've really been inspired for my build. I particularly like the design of the hatch and seal, it's not overly complicated.

Ratcheting down the outer skin is an excellent tip thanks for sharing that. I still need to get some of those straps.

X2 thanks mike. While i went for a minimalist stick frame these plans are what i based my build around.
