Be a real man and buy a welder and build your own.Or whatever. Building your own will be a shared activity treasured forever.
Enjoy, Chris

1) I took my wife to a Tearjerkers camp-out to see them in action and how people customize them.
2) We went to an RV dealership that sold Little Guys and to look at other options (A-frames, 15's, etc), I convinced her a teardrop in the garage beats an RV in a storage yard 10 miles away.
3) I bought an HF frame and started building, she never questioned my ability to do it since I'd done a lot of cabinetry before.

Now she wishes I hadn't filled the cabin up with all the extra camping gear from the back of my truck for the off-season, as she wants to go read in there on occasion.

My other half does not enjoy camping and has no interest. I love it, showed him a picture of the one I wanted , went and looked at it . He said I was crazy but I should go ahead and get it .

My Wife is not interested in camping at all, but she knows I've been interested in teardrops for a while. When we talked about me building one, compared to a hotel, my budget build would pay for itself in less than 2 weeks, so she agreed it's a good idea. :D

Easy- Honey I got a teardrop lets go camping. You don't want to? See you in a month. May be the same the next time and may not. Mine is not a big fan of camping either but does not stop me and my grown son from camping. My wife and grown daughter go and do their thing when we are gone. Me and the boy are actually going 'Tent " camping day after Christmas for a couple of days in far east Texas. Family has 800+ acres to roam and look for arrowheads. My sun likes the tent camping far better than I do. I have become a sissy.

Chris, I'm having trouble welding the wood! I'm a welder by trade and when I cut with torch it smokes. :? I agree with you.

Christina wrote:Wow! Thank you everyone for your input. There are just as many answers as there are teardroppers. It's interesting that is seems to be a mix between men and women both trying to convince their significant others. Keeping them in the loop seems to be key...but lying is kind of fun too. :D

Thank you Sandi! :wine:

Christina, although I'm late to the party in every way [we don't even have a teardrop yet] I have to say the best way I've discovered to get ANYONE to fall in love with the idea of a teardrop is to send them a link to your video. It has worked several times already.

I had seen teardrops but never dreamed my husband would like the idea, until he saw your video and 'made' ME watch it!

Thanks for everything.
