Toyota Highlander ad

Postby planovet » Thu Apr 02, 2015 5:57 pm

My car (which I use to tow my tear) is nearing 200K and it's time to start thinking about a new one. I'm seriously thinking about a Jeep Wrangler but Cindi was listening to the radio the other day and heard on a car show that the Toyota Highlander was a good pick. I decided to go to their website and read up about the Highlander.

As I was perusing the performance tab, this picture popped up:

Is it a sign??

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

Wow! And the teardrop is red too! I like the trunk at the front of it.

Some of those people must be sleeping in the Highlander.

Yep, from the placement of the people, vehicles, & fruit display, it appears the TD (& highlander) probably belong to the vendor(s) instead of the buyer family. But, given the purpose of the pic it's probably all 'staged' & none of 'em are TDers. Nice TD tho, & a well staged pic.

Unless the picture was cropped for this thread, it doesn't show much of the Highlander either.

I've got a 4 door wrangler as my TV.
Pros
fits up to 5( 4 with reasonable comfort
Mine gets 15 to 16 mpg pulling my 5x8 TD ( total range towing over 300 miles)
It's got lots of aftermarket support
4x4 and ground clearance can get you further off of the pavement
Cons
19 mpg highway empty
Rides like a truck
Low quality ratings vs the industry
Easy to spend money on stuff you don't need
