I'm almost back on line

Postby Kody » Wed Apr 08, 2015 12:10 am

Hi guys
I'm almost back on line at last. My back finally crashed out and I had go to Brisbane by comercial airline for a major operation on my lower spine. The opperation was a great success and I eventually returned home. Three days later I was literally thrown to the ground by the pain of the worst infection I have ever experienced. I was rushed back to Brisbane via the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the operation was carried out once again. eventually I was flown back to the hospital here in Rockhampton and have been here for around 8 weeks. They have been pumping super strong antiotics into me for 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening. I am now home at last but will be consumming heaps of sulphur drugs for the next 3 weeks. Once my strength and weight return I can start on the building of my TD once again. I'm now hoping I will get it ready for tripping next year around June. We were blasted with a horrific cyclone that destroyed our property but left the house and workshop intact. Hopefully, I will be strong enough to work on the TD in about two months time. Such is life but I have survived.

Glad to see you back up & 'running' so to speak. A good positive outlook helps a lot & you seem to have that on your side.
Best of evrything for your recovery

Kody, best wishes friend...having blown( ligament torn ) out both knees within months of each other, I can definitely understand your lack of mobility. Being on meds can be depressing and take a toll on your body. Godspeed on your recovery....Txbum

I am pleased to hear you are recovering.
Storms - that must be rough, I get a bit of an idea about how you feel, the 2010 and 2011 quakes did a bit of damage around here too.

Get well soon mate and then get on with your build! :)

Hi Guys
I am back home now full time, no more tripping to the hospital for 8 hours each day for drug infusion via a PIC line. The doctor precribed a course of oral drugs for me and I found out I was allergic to them and began throwing up and ever so ill. I now have some compatable antibiotics and should now be fully on the way to a complete recovery. I am now back into my CAD and designing a new box trailer, it's so good to get back to designing.

Kody  :D
