Here is my design up to this point. The frame construction will be typical welded steel tubing (2" X 3") and has a 3500 pound axle. I have already purchased all the steel and have the axle and wheels also. Side walls will be all aluminum 6061 T6 .032, with aluminum studs and skins with solid riveted fasteners. This construction method is exactly like my 1950 Spartan camper. Total length is just under 12 ft and body width is 5.5 ft. Overall interior height is just over 5 ft. Spent today calibrating my brake to the specified 1/8" radius and dialing in the CNC router to cut .032 aluminum. Unfortunately this will be a slow build, perhaps the better part of a year, life is really busy.
