Self Propelled Teardrop?

Postby bgeddes » Sat Jun 13, 2015 9:49 pm

I found this looking for something else, VERY much reminded me of a teardrop, although self propelled.

Saab 96 V4 ... almost a SP TD

We found after doing many Van conversions , even a simple interior will put the vehicle over it’s GVW ... so forget passengers and cargo.

The set up they did inside the van, is a good idea for traveling. It's also a good way to get in on some of the chapter meetings until your "teardrop or tt" is actually camp ready.

Well you've been a member of this forum for over two years now and I'll just bet you that you are nowhere close to finishing your teardrop if you have even started one. Probably been too busy trying to figure out how to convert a van cheaply. :o

 OTOH, It does have a rear galley kitchen accessible by raising a hatch. And a bedroom forward of the galley.

I'm so confused. :?
I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

Oxymoron. If it is self propelled it is not a trailer.

Even though I drive a VW camper, doing something like this to a minivan or SUV never occurred to me. I see why it reminds you of a teardrop.

The reason this is called a "teardrop" is that when you look at it, tears start running down your face.

"Yesdog" posted this "self propelled teardrop" a couple years ago. At first I thought this was where this thread was headed...
