Interesting to read of people doing coffee roasting in a pan. Knew it was possible but had not really consider doing that myself. Now I might just have to give it a try.

When I collected them after I thought "Hey, these would make a nice picture!"

Very cool picture!

The benefits go without saying. Coffee wherever you want. Great in power outages as well. Ice fishing, tailgating (iced coffee and kahlua) frees up the grill/stove for making breakfast, stainless steel caraff..........oh a and its a coleman!

You can, but it won't learn anything from it ;)
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

+1 while building the morning fire. No way I could wait until the fire was hot enough!

While true, pouring water just off the boil is not a task I'm usually up to BEFORE I've had my coffee.

That is part of the reason the coleman propane drip seems so nice to me.

Thanks for this suggestion! I got one, and it worked great on a recent camping trip. Before my first cup of coffee, I'm not capable of a whole lot of complexity -- and this thing was simple!

The beauty of the Moka is that it is small, lightweight, darned near indestructable and makes fantastic coffee - fast. Now, if you really want to impress some other camp folks, especially those in the big RVs, pick up a battery operated "frother" from like Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $5. Take 2% or skim milk, warm it over a flame (not boil), pour it into a cup and froth it up. Then pour that onto about 3/4" of the Moka brewed coffee in a standard mug. Voila, superb cappuccino. Doesn't matter whether you like cappuccino or not, just show that frothy mix off and the giant RV folk will go nuts. We were doing this at Valley of Fires and in the Keys. Yeah, using a small camper really reduces your conveniences.

By the way, spend $100 and buy one of the Igloo countertop ice makers. I love ours and it make so much ice it is insane. A couple years ago I was sitting at Muley Point, throwing ice cubes away, simply because I could. Ice costs like $8 for a 5lb bag out there.
