I upload my pictures to Facebook, then download them to my phone. Since Facebook resizes them, the downloaded pictures are resized perfectly for the forum.

Is the issue the size of the photos? Or the number? or the process?

Although I think a phone is not a camera (very primitive lenses), people are more likely to have a phone in hand. Also the phones are generating bigger and bigger images these days.

If it is the size, there is windows software like "Visualizer Photo Resize" that can do batch re-sizing. So a three step process: remove photo from camera to PC; run Resize on images; move resized images to forum.
