We went with a squareback design. I liked the look of the off road Aussie trailers, and went with that. Finished the framing the other day. We are very happy with the shape, size and layout. 48" interior height. 5x9 with rear barn doors. 1 1/4" thick walls and roof.

We have a Hemi Grand Cherokee, aerodynamics and gas milage aren't really much of a concern! LOL

The square shape does maximize galley space!

After building one I agree that the curved roof is probably easier. Fewer corners... especially compared to the clipped corners on mine.

I've made a stack of drawing of different designs. Life keeps getting in the way of building. I thought when my youngest was in college I would have more time. Now the parents need help. I've been camping in my woody that we built nine years ago. At least I have a teardrop to play with occasionally. I'll keep drawing and dreaming until things calm down.
