Attaching Tarps to Popup Canopy

I went camping last weekend. It wasn't real cold but a breeze kicked up and it got chilly. I had brought an old tarp for a wind block because I had good forethought. Now that I like the idea and it works I need you guys to help me find a better way to quickly raise the tarp and attach it to the frame of the popup.

This style clamps are very useful and tough.

I've used those or some spring clamps.
During the summer when ya want shade but a breeze. You can use a mesh type tarp. Some people call it a garbage tarp.

I use bungee balls like someone else recommended.
I also use when fighting the wind a mesh tarp I got at Harbor Fright.

The simplest is an appropriate sized spring clamp.

Our popup has sides that attach via velcro strips along the top edge of the canopy (runs the entire length of each edge) and velcro tabs (4 -6) to either the post or the next section. Obviously these are pre-installed on the side panels. A good DIY project.

Check the manufacturer, they often offer side curtains that attach with velco.
Amazon has a number of different brands including mesh.
Otherwise get spring clips from Harbor Freight

I can get large plastic clothes pins and I thought of that. I thought of getting small spring clamps for wood. Yesterday I went to HF and bought a box of small carabiners to clip on the canopy rails. I'll see what I like best and report back. Thanks for all the ideas so far.

I'm very much a Hill Billy camper but I like it that way. I have seen 10x10 canopies with sides that have plastic windows! They cost but how nice.

I bought Coleman side curtains for about $10 and window side curtains for $2.00 each, less than a tarp. Look around you might find the same bargains. Danny

We have Kedar Rail on three sides of Compass Rose and tarps to match. The rail was attached using 3M VHB tape

At the urging of Danny I searched for side walls. Well duh, I found pre made walls for little more than my ill fitting tarp. Hill Billy only goes so far and then it's just dumb. I am off to Wal-Mart to pick up a wall with mesh storage bins. I'll get some ball bungees while I'm at it, looks like I'm out of those.

As a side note. It looks like the pre made canopy wall ties to the canopy frame. Guess how I had mine set up? Can't beat rope I suppose.
