truck camper tie downs?

Any tips on truck camper tie downs for a light-weight foamie truck camper?

My topper is only bed rail wide so I just glued (and wrapped) plywood strips to the bottom.



I have C clamps in place now so it's easy to remove.

If you going full build and slide-in unit, I saw someone on YouTube utilizing his tailgate pin as a mounting point and turnbuckles to tighten. Have no idea how he held the front down.. Yet he didn't go over the cab with his, so maybe some sort of cleat/catch up front, but that's a guess on my part..
His was also a lift top (tilt lift) so it didn't look boxy going down the road and still had a area to stand in.

You have any concept drawing or pictures of what your thinking of doing?

I had an ARE camper top and another camper top and I just used bolts and big washers going through the bed rails on 4 points.

my mind's eye instantly saw a set of straps like held the hoods down on early 1950's european roadsters when i saw your cap

they were leather and many were decorative as well as being utility items
