Update on build progress

Postby ssutton » Thu Jul 16, 2020 1:08 am

I go for long periods without posting any updates (sorry for that) but I thought that it was about time. We are starting to see glimpses of the end of the project come into view. Still a long way to go but we work on it with every spare minute.

The holes on the bottom are for 12 volt condenser fans. This draws cooler air from the underside of the camper and feeds the condenser.

Charging the mini split. Normally the service covers are installed hiding the unit. So far even at 95 degrees the camper stays completely cool.
The inside unit is hidden in a cabinet so that it does not appear to have AC installed in it. Also, the hot air returns are ducted into the ceiling of the camper

Interior skins are natural aluminum buffed with scotch brite and vinegar (breaks down any oxidation) and sealed with Sharkhide metal protectant.

Wet-Bath. The object near the toilet is a shower proof toilet paper dispenser.

The corner sink "Bowl" is actually a salad bowl purchased from Kohl's

Galley under construction, still in shop waiting for drawers and faces. The camper is all electric
so cooking will be accomplished with an induction cook-top.

Thank you. I have been very blessed throughout my life to learn new skills and work with some really talented people that were willing to teach me. In 2011 I completed a CNC machine that has totally transformed the way I build things. I attempt to blend old school craftsmanship (thanks to my grandfather) and new technologies for the best of both worlds.

The best part of the camper project is that my wife of 29 years is right by my side working with me every step of the way. We work together solving problems, coming up with design elements and dreaming about where we are going to go in our camper once it is finished.
