Loss of a Teardrop Craftsman-Joe Kosareff

Postby nevadatear » Sun Jan 23, 2022 2:41 pm

Leslie Kosareff, messaged me yesterday that her husband, Joe, passed away from a massive heart attack yesterday morning in Arizonia. Joe was a teardrop trailer craftsman who owned Vacations in a Can for many years, both crafting one of a kind tiny trailers, rehabing trailers, and running a trailer rental program on the pacific coast of California for many years. Joe was best known for the iconic cover photo on Sunset Magazine a decade ago, which was responsible for uncountable campers building, buying or just longing for a teardrop trailer. My husband and I were honored to call Joe and Leslie friends, camping with them many times. We will miss Joe's incredible sense of humor and fashion style. Love to Leslie. https://www.sunset.com/home/not-your-mamas-camper

I remember Joe, we would visit and talk teardrops at the IRG.
Nice guy/couple.
So sorry to hear of his passing, I hope his resting place is as nice as his teardrops.
Rest in peace, Joe.

:D Danny

It's a shock to hear of his passing.
He was a peach of a man. Heaven will treat him well.
Condolences and Hugs to Leslie.

I had the chance to visit with Joe in his shop near Petaluma a few years ago. What a nice guy and a truly inspirational builder. He will not be easily forgotten.
Cheers,
-Rob
