Pretty intense looking and I'm sure the ExPo cool crowd will be drooling. My second thought is that the spare tire swings the wrong way - if you ever use a regular campsite you have to walk around it to access the galley.

"Extreme camper"? I wouldn't touch it until they come out with an "Ultimate camper"!

That spare is going to be a pain in the ass.

But maybe I just need another cup of joe. :frightened:

They have stuck everything on that rig they could imagine. Including the roof-top tent.

I've dug a hole in my skull from scratching while thinking about roof-top tents. This guy sums my thoughts up...

Voice of experience, eh? I never thought about it before, but I get why bike racks go that way. Keep them out of the street side. Wonder if UK/Aussie models swing the other way?

Yep. In my original design, I had the spare on the "wrong" side, but our trailer builder set us straight.

Of course, then, if you're going to put a propane tank back there, it'll be on the dangerous side, which is what they did. Wonder what the box is behind the right fender, where the spare is "supposed" to go?

it's an "overland" trailer. gotta love overland chic. the overland market has come up with some pretty great car camping gear. but some of it is so incredibly silly.

I bet that wheel/tire combo is heavy enough that it causes problems for the wall and the rear hatch seal.

the box behind the fender looks like a jerry can holder. overlanders like to carry extra fuel because all those mods kill your fuel economy. though I suppose it could be water, too.
