Jack swivel wheel just will not swivel

Postby davidreidok » Tue Jul 05, 2022 11:19 am

when I have my teardrop (little guy 5 wide) parked in the drive way, I cannot get the swivel wheel to swivel at all. It just seems to lock in place and will not rotate.

sprayed some lubricant spray in but no help

anyone know of a replacement swivel wheel with ball bearings inside or what am I doing wrong

much appreciated

It may need a good cleaning. When your trailer is on the ball of your truck, how does it feel to manually swivel it around?

As Tony suggested git up of the ground run some cleaner and use a silicone lube (it does not attract dirt). Whack it with a rubber mallet to free it up if all else fails.

x2 on the silicone grease, you can get is at the auto parts store as well as the Borg stores. Just remember to shake it up like a can of spray paint.
I'll be done when I'm finished, if that's not fast enough, take a number.

Does the jack have a swivel lock?

I know with the jack wheel on my UT when the jack is retracted all the way up it ceases to swivel. If you haven't already, try extending the jack some.
