Start Angle -Dexter Axle

Postby Capebuild » Thu Apr 10, 2025 9:42 am

I was crawling around under my trailer yesterday and was looking at the arms that hold the axle. When I ordered my Dexter axle I specified a start angle of 22.5 degrees, down. Now with the trailer fully built, loaded and being used, I see those arms are pretty much level with the horizon. I'm assuming with the weight of the trailer on the axle those arms are destined to change from their original downward angle. My question.... should those arms be level or still maintain some of their original downward angle? When towing, the trailer rides pretty smoothly, I'd say...... but just giving it a thought as to what position those arms should be now with the full load bearing on them.
Thanks.
