Width won't matter for the design. But I might go 5 ft wide on this.

So I'd say 5x8 weekender. I'd use the same paint you are using for it also.

P.S. I would use 1x2s on all the joints between the wall and the roof, so you can screw into the pine and get a good strong joint!

Right mouse click and save.

That's it. Was planning on using 1x1's or 1x2" to screw into. Insulate the roof. Leave the sides alone. Did that on the grasshopper.


Now I'll just have to design the chassis and I'll be set. Chassis will be bolt together with angle Iron and torsion axle.

There isn't much storage in there, maybe you could add a shelf above where your knees would be?

Well I'm lookiing at going a little different with this weekender. Lots of things will be stored on the outside. Those 5 gallon cans that fit on the jeeps. One on each side for water. A/C sticking out the back side. I got lost of ideas.

A Gage type cover.

I'll use the truck to haul most of the kitchen stuff. Might even make a mini weekender to fit in the back of the truck that can be removed when I get to the campsite.

I'll keep you posted.

That's it! A camp kitchen, built as a mini version of your camper! The hatch would open to reveal your cupboards, stove or whatever. It could stand on pipe legs, threaded into the bottom. We had a kitchen box a lot like Len DaDonna's , when I was an explorer scout, a looooooong time ago!
