By the way, I just caught a sale on a fantasticvent, and ordered one. Can anyone tell me why a simple DC fan and cover costs twice as much as A/C?

Mike if I push the a/c in to the hole and cover up the side vents I really notice a drop in cooling efficiency,,push it back and it cools right off,,,those vents are real important

Yes, the side vents are actually more important than the rear exhaust. Learned that the hard way in both of my teardrops...

Mike I was just pondering over the 8' weekender,,and had a thought for your larger one to accomodate more air circulation with hatch closed,,,,,

I dont know if it will work or give ya any advantage but smoke it over,,,
on the rear hatch,, instead of having an angled hatch, the bottom section that is vertical when closed,,make it seperate and on a hinge so that when opened it swings forward to become your counter top,,the hatch per say would be straight and flat,,easy to make,,you could close the hatch and leave the counter down and an open area where it would be if up and closed,,a screen could be made to fit in the opening while the rear is open to keep critters out,,jusssss thinking again,,
