Strange marks on the front of our Little Guy 5 wide...

Postby lgna70 » Tue Feb 15, 2011 5:01 pm

Hi all,
Well, I took some photos of some strange marks that have appeared on the front of our Little Guy. I've had a car cover over it most of the winter ( water resistant but not water tight as I was afraid it wouldnt breathe )...but I cannot tell if its from the car cover ( there is nothing on it to stain or indicate something bled through it ) or if its coming up from inside the tear's shell itself. I tried using a Magic Sponge on it to no avail. Again, its a little hard to see, but any info, ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks
Steph

They sort of look like leaf stains, but I don't know if leaves would stain through the cover.

You could call LittleGuy and ask what would take those out. They are very helpful!

Some kind of alien fungus? Any UFO sitings in your area lately? Maybe they snuck in and used your teardrop as a home base for the winter...LOL

It's possible that any leaves/airborne stuff on the exterior of the cover could have leached through it and stained the skin on it. I get stains on the concrete all the time from old leaves left on it. Doug

Couldn't bring up the pictures except for small ones that I couldn't see the problem in.

I think I'd try polishing compound to remove the stain or maybe a mild solution of bleach and water on a small inconspious spot. Hydrogen peroxide might also work. Be gentle and test, test, and test some more before you do a big area. Also wait a few days after a small test to see if there are any lingering effects.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Gus

There are an assortment of RV cleaners black streak... but I would first call LG and ask. Is the surface Filon or some other FRP, or just painted?

We had some like that where wet leaves got under the cover on our pop up and I just used a rv cleaner and was able to remove the stains.

Thanks everyone. I am going to pick up some rv cleaner after work and also try the light bleach mixture as well ( after calling Little Guy of course!) I appreciate the feedback!

I hope you find something to clean it to your satisfaction. Personally, if it is hard to see, it would be hard for me to waste much time worrying about it.

From my experience vinegar often works where bleach has failed, just do not mix the two......
