We had a hunch it would be when we woke up. The campground had flooded from the rainfall the night before, and then the rain changed to snow, blanketing the campground, and all the roads...

We left early, hoping to miss the worst of it.
Alas it was already too late. The highways were covered with ice, and we saw lots of cars losing control and going off the road. It wasn't until we saw a large truck that I thought I should have been taking pictures.
So I dug the camera out, and took a few pictures. By this time the worst of it was over. We had seen probably a couple dozen cars slide off the road.

The trip took an extra 2 hours... not bad!!!
