Finally starting a Camper Podcast

Postby Jimbo » Tue Feb 01, 2011 9:11 pm

For the past couple of years, I've planted a couple of seeds to try to get someone to start a podcast for us smaller RV fans but so far I haven't seen one. Not everyone has or for that matter even wants a huge RV to camp in. I finally decided to give it a go so I'm working on getting the introductory episode together. The title is going to be CamperCast and my target audience is Teardrop, Popup and TTT owners. Anyone that loves camping is welcome! Hope to have tech tips, recipes, gear reviews and topics of interest to everyone but if there is something you'd like to have covered, shoot me a message here.

First episode should be out in the next couple of weeks then afterwards, it will be bi-weekly.

This podcast is geared towards Airstream enthusiasts, but you might want to compare notes on the type of subjects they talk about.

I download the shows, and burn it to discs to listen on the road when camping.

I love the VAP. I've always wanted something similar for smaller owners.

That sounds good. Maybe even ask listeners to record reviews of campsites they visit and share them on the show.

Just don't invite Frank to be your guest host. (sorry, but he rubs me the wrong way) I'd much rather have Rob back.

I don't mind Frank too much but I do miss Rob. Especially the laugh. He was back a couple of episodes ago and it sounded like he may come back soon.

Perhaps the first interview for the launch of the podcast should be Mike and Chell! 8) or Grant.

Awesome idea about Mike n Chell. I'm going to try to record the introductory episode this weekend in order to get the feed started so I can get it added to iTunes. I'll let everyone know when it's ready. Also, thanks for the kind comments on the logo. Lucy did it for me over at Chase Designs over on logobogo.com. She is amazing

I wanted to give everyone an update on the podcast. I've decided to delay the podcast a bit. I've been having some problems swallowing so I decided to get it checked out and, long story short, I have esophageal cancer. Still in the testing stage now but I am committed to beating it and getting back to camping and Campercast.

Sorry to hear about your condition. Check out a few suggestions:

Lemons Kills Cancer Cells
http://www.blog.fountainofwellness.com/health-solutions/lemons-kill-cancer-cells/

Do a search on Apricot seeds, B17. I believe the FDA won't approve this natural substance to be sold in local markets due to the BIG pharmaceutical companies lobbying against it. IMHO

I know friends that have reported a higher white blood cell count to help the immune system using apricot seeds. Friend's dogs have been diagnosed with cancer, and while didn't cancel the end result, helped with prolonged life. Who knows if the diagnosis and early treatment with Apricot seeds would have staved off the cancer.

Daily juicing to get the enzymes and nutrients to your body. Mix something sweet ie. apples with all the known vegetables that are known to help. I try to do this on a daily basis to start my day.

Tumeric spice kills cancer cells. I have a small shaker bottle on the dining room table mixed with tumeric, granulated garlic, and pepper. Sprinkle it on the various side dishes, food etc... as a routine. Dr. Oz recommended this one, among other natural food aids for killing cancer.

My cousin of 53 lost his battle to this, but his condition was caught late, among other deterioration factors. You can beat this!

Hurry up and get better! We will be waiting for your kick off of the podcast!
