new mattress!

Postby G.Payne » Wed Mar 16, 2011 5:57 am

Yesterday afternoon my new 5 inch memory foam mattress arrived. The best part is that I got it on sale for $50! :applause:

JCPENNY.COM had all different sizes on sale. I think the sale price on the one I bought was $67. My future mother in law was able to get me an additional employee's discount. That is how I was able to get it for $50. I thought $67 was a great price because I haven't been able to find anything near that price

Are you planning to have anything under that? Or is that the entire mattress?

How much does it "collapse" in the middle under body weight? Any chance of sagging through the mattress and feeling the hardness of the floor?

I am looking around for a mattress for my new build. Have never had one before so I'm open to ideas. This is certainly budget-friendly!!!

A follow-up question --- Did you, or do you plan to, wrap the mattress in a sheet or mattress pad of some kind? (Just something to protect it a bit)
I had even wondered about sewing a bag of sorts out of old sheets to put the foam mattress inside of.

Hey outtahand. I haven't gotten a chance to test it out in the trailer yet but just like you I am very curious to see how the mattress feels. I do plan on trying it out today so I can let you know my findings.
p.s.I do plan on making my own sheets for the mattress and not sure yet if I'm going to put anything under it
