I have a couple of guys at the muffler shop that humor me with my wierd requests.
Back in December they bent me some 2 1/2 " tail pipe for the swinging arm of the table support. They also cut a reinforcement tube to slide inside to stiffen it at the indexing plate where the locking pin inserts.
They cut and expanded a piece to just slide inside the open end at the top.
I have the flip up flip down mechanism almost conquered. As soon as my welder buddy finishes a remodeling project I hope to have him make the indexed swing plate that mounts on the trailer. I have wanted this since I saw Margie's

Sorry to disappoint you, but "he" is a She. We have His and Hers teardrops and the yellow one is mine. His matches his 41 ford pickup.
I really love my tire/table. It works great! And as for the key, you have to know how to get to it before you can use it.
Dana I just looked at your album and the table.
I was curious how you kept the table from swinging out when going down the road.
It looks like it fits into a trailer door lock one that keeps the door open when using a screen door.
or is it something else? either way nice clean design.
