Fenders

Has anyone built or seen any fenders made out of wood with storage compartments built into them?

Yep, both of my tears have wooden fenders, and the 1/8th inch plywood woody fenders have lasted 8 years, and counting. As far as storage within the fenders, I've seen it done somewhere on this board. Personally, I try to keep as much weight out of the tear, and would rather carry the heavy stuff in the car.
