Paper towel holder

Postby honeask » Tue Nov 22, 2011 1:26 pm

There was a post quite a while back about a paper towel holder that someone had bought and it kept the paper towels from blowing in the wind and coming unwound. I seem to remember it was in the $25.00 range. Does anyone remember the post or do you have one? Would like to look at them closer now that we have a teardrop that one could go in. I did a search but I could be here til Christmas looking at the search results. If you know where the post is could you send it my way? Also, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and a safe one too.

Yeah I bought one from target and going to modify it so it will not unravel.

That's the one, Thanks. I also like the cheaper option.

I find it amazing that I have been on here for almost two years, and check the most recent posts everytime I come on....yet still I completely miss a number of threads.

I did finally find some for myself. These have been discontinued, so they are very hard to find. I found a place that had 3 left awhile back, so I bought all three. They were not cheap, but everytime I would find some they were gone by the time I ordered them. I actually had a couple orders cancelled because the stores thought they had them, but could not locate them.

I use the Simple Human towel holder ...... only needs one hand to pull a single sheet.

it also has a 'weighted' base.

a bungee cord isn't as pretty but works pretty well at holding the towels in place. I keep a roll strapped to the trunklid of my car this way.

I explored many options for a paper towel holder to mount under the galley hatch that would look nice, but they all seemed to get in the way of the hatch closing. I ended up just installing two tiny hooks in the wood supports in the galley hatch and running a mini-bungee through it between the hooks. Can barely see the ends of the mini-bungee, and it holds it tight to the lid so it does not free-spool in the wind. Works perfect, and cost about a buck.
