Oh yeah Slow,

It's just as I got older I do the "preview" then delete after I write. Got to where I just got tired of looking over my shoulder all the time 8)

Na, not me. I write, preview and then submit. If I wrote something out of line an Admin will either delete it or send me a PM telling me I screwed up. The fastest way to piss me off is for an Admin to delete one of my postings and then not show the courtesy to send me a PM and tell me where I screwed up or what it was that I said that was wrong. :o

Hey Steve, when did you move to Albuquerque?

I will use the edit button with regularity and I will read each entry both before posting and after, checking to make sure it makes some sort of sense and that grammar and spelling are not too bad.

I'm pretty careful about what I write. If there is something that could be taken wrong I usually catch it during my preview. Either I rewrite it or delete it. I find no reason to run down or criticize someone else.

With that being said, There are lots of time I've read someones post and say "What the heck were they thinking". Maybe I should not have typed that.

Yes Slowcowboy sometimes I have wondered that same thing about what you have written..... :?

Hell... I spend more time in previews and edits than composing original text and yes I still misspell things (or let spell check insert incorrect "correction"), use wrong words, manage to piss someone off, and generally look like a idiot...

If I have a longer post I'll compose it in Wordpad, hitting the "Enter"
button for its 'return' as I like to keep the text narrower as I think that's
easier to read. [I do that about at half page.]

I do that because I like to see the whole post while I'm writing it, instead
of just a small band of it - just one of my idiosyncrasies/pet peeves. It's
easier to manipulate the text then, if wanted or needed I think.

Then I copy and paste it into the composing box on the 'Post a reply' page.
And then I preview. I always miss some typos it seems, no matter how
many times I checked while in Wordpad. I try to get as close to 'perfect'
copy as I can, as again I think it helps when reading it.

'Preview' also shows immediately if posted pics are there.

I also always try any links I include in the preview to see if they work.

And the "Edit" button is your friend.
