Been a while

Postby ALAN GEDDES » Mon Jan 09, 2012 8:40 am

Has been some time since I've been here. Hi to all my old friends. No tear or camping for some time do to health. Bought a '66 10 foot Shasta last year and have fixed it up nice. Some standing room was welcome. About ready to get my stock 40's Plymouth P15 on the road and am ready to build camper # 5 or maybe it's # 6. Can't decide what to build. Must be very light and appropriate for 40's - 50's era. Tear or Cabin car maybe ? To be used for short overnight camping and car shows. Opinions please.

8) Hi Alan,
Glad you've recovered sufficiently to be back on "board".
Build whatever you like, just so long as you build!

Hey Alan,

Welcome back! Long time no see. Do you still have your little army camper?

What is your #6 going to be?

Mike...

P.S. I still have the little model camper you sent me!
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

The green machine went to VA several years ago. Just want to build something super light for short trips and car shows as this old 218 flathead straight six is as old as me and highly underpowered. Have the 66 Shasta for primary Camping use now but want to build something really vintage looking to go with the Plymouth. Leaning towards a cabin car or maybe even the midget or widget as they would be a departure from all the tears. Like to have something ready for the big TearJerkers thing in Charleston in May. Just don't tell Wanda as she doesn't know about another camper. Shhhhhhh
